Bluebirds make ideal candidates for a birdhouse because of their nesting habits. Their nest is made mainly of materials collected right off the ground and used to build a cavity for their eggs. The nest is usually between 4 and 16 feet above ground and contains 3-6 pale blue eggs. Incubation time is around 2 weeks and the young mature after another 2-3 weeks.
