The screen top on this blue bird house helps to discourage sparrows from nesting.

This bluebird house comes with a 3 inch screened opening in the top that allows light and rain to enter which in turn discourages house sparrows from nesting, but does not bother blue birds. Once the eggs hatch, simply place the plug which is included over the hole.

Side opens to allow for easy clean out after nesting. Plexiglass barrier keeps nest intact when opening side to view nest.
